The Right of Admission will apply
PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY: 50% deposit payable upfront and balance on or before arrival. Keys will not be handed over until all outstanding fees are paid in full.
Kindly note that after reservations have been confirmed and accepted NO refunds will be given for late arrivals, early departures or cancellations and the deposit paid will be forfeited as a reservation service fee. If apartments are vacated before contracted departure date, rentals will not be refunded.
BREAKAGE, DISTURBANCE, KEY DEPOSIT (REFUNDABLE): Please note that an additional refundable Breakage and Disturbance Deposit is payable in cash on arrival. R100 pp for backpackers, R400 per 2 sleeper apartment, R600 per 4 or 6 sleeper apartment. For Backpackers and Luxury Aloe Rooms the Breakage and Disturbance deposit will be refunded on the day of check out once the rooms have been inspected. For the Self Catering Cottages the B&D is refunded within 3 - 5 working days of departure, provided all is in order, all our Terms and Conditions have been met, and TV remotes and towels (where applicable) have been returned to reception.
NOISE AND DISTURBANCE: We are a residential establishment in a quiet, peaceful area. It is important that our guests are respectful to each other and our neighbours and therefore we request that there be no loud music or noise after 10.00 pm and that only paying guests may be in the flats in the evenings after 10 pm. Please note that Ansteys is NOT a party venue - we are in a residential area and we cannot allow loud noise and music out of consideration to our neighbours and other paying guests. Please be considerate when using the communal ablution facilities as there are guests staying in the rooms close by. If any noise and disturbance persists despite warnings from Management, we will have no choice but to evict you out of respect and consideration to our other guests and neighbours.
CHECK IN AND OUT: Check in time 14h00 - 22h00 (or earlier if unit is ready) . STRICTLY NO CHECK INS AFTER 10 PM as Reception closes at 10pm. We will not be held responsible for arrivals after 10 pm and no refunds for arrivals after 10 pm. Check out time 09h00 (failure to check out after 9 am will result in an extra night’s charge). ID/PASSPORT REQUIRED WHEN CHECKING IN – keys will not be handed over without proper identification.
SMOKING: Ansteys has a strict NO SMOKING policy in all flats and communal living areas. Do not discard cigarette butts in pot plants or in the garden/parking area - please use the ashtrays provided.
PARKING: Strictly for guests only. A parking bay is allocated per unit, as well as parking in the garden. Please bear with us during busy times and ensure that you complete the parking info on the indemnity form at reception and park properly between the lines without obstructing the roadway and driveway.
VISITORS: The facilities are strictly for paying guests only. No visitors allowed on the premises unless approved by Management. All visitors to be signed in at Reception as per our Insurance requirements. Visitors to park at the beach - please ensure you advise your visitors.
OVERCROWDING: Overcrowding is not allowed. The maximum number of persons allowed, including children, may not exceed the maximum number of guests indicated for the unit/room. Should we find overcrowding the entire party will be evicted without refund.
SERVICING OF UNITS: Self Catering Units will be serviced daily at no additional charge (except for Sundays and Public Holidays or during busy periods) for removal of full rubbish bags, change of bath mats and dishcloths if needed. Servicing does not include washing of dishes. Please ensure that the dishes are washed and packed away when checking out. If not, a fee of R50 will be deducted from your Breakage/Disturbance deposit.
LAUNDRY SERVICE: There is a daily drop off and pick up laundry service at reasonable rates. Please enquire at Reception for further information.
SUPPLIES ON ARRIVAL: We supply toilet paper but we do not supply any toiletries, coffee, tea or sugar etc. as these units are self-catering. These items can be purchased at Reception if need be, or visit Heidi’s Café (above the swimming pool) for breakfasts, good filter coffee and delicious home baked treats.
MONKEYS: Please do not feed the monkeys! Ensure that all doors and windows are closed when you go out so that the monkeys cannot access your apartment. They are very clever and know just what to do to get in - they can cause great havoc if they get into the apartments and WILL steal your food and whatever else they can get hold of.
TV CHANNELS AND DVD'S : We have enabled most of our apartments with DSTV so that you can bring your own DSTV decoder and Smartcard but please ensure you bring the correct cables as we do not supply those. For those who don’t bring their own decoders, we have 2 x DSTV Channels as well as all the local channels (SABC 1,2,3, etv). The one DSTV channel is controlled by the TV in the main reception lounge. Please advise reception if you are watching a movie or wish to watch sports but please understand that we have to cater for all guests and there might be times where we are unable to comply with everyone’s requests. The other DSTV channel is the Owners personal channel and whilst it will be available on your TV, it is up to their discretion to change that channel. DVD’s are available at reception for a nominal refundable deposit.
TV, LIGHTS, WATER etc: Environmental conservation is important to us and we try our utmost to do our bit where possible - please be mindful that the TV, lights, fans and air conditioners (where applicable) in your flat are turned off when and that all taps are closed properly when you leave your flat/room. Please check your outside lights as well.
SWIMMING POOL: The use of the swimming pool is entirely at your own risk. Children under the age of 12 years and non-swimmers are to be supervised by adults at all times. (Strictly no swimming between 10pm and 6am). IMPORTANT : please rinse off all sand at the beach showers and at the pool entrance before entering the pool and showers. No glass, surfboards and bomb diving in the pool.
COMMUNAL AREAS AND FACILITIES: Please be considerate of other guests and kindly clean up after yourselves and ensure that you wash, dry and pack away all dishes that you have used. Please don’t litter or discard items in the garden/parking area or down the the driveway – use the bins provided.
