ANSTEYS BEACH : TERMS & CONDITIONS

THE RIGHT OF ADMISSION WILL APPLY

PLEASE NOTE : As this is only sent to the person making the booking, it is your responsibility to ensure everyone in your group is aware of the following:

PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY: A 50% deposit is payable upfront and balance to be paid on/before arrival, preferably in cash. Keys will not be handed over until all outstanding fees are paid in full. Kindly note that after reservations have been confirmed and accepted, NO refunds will be given for late arrivals, early departures, unauthorised changes, or cancellations & the deposit paid will be forfeited as a reservation service fee. If units are vacated before contracted departure date, rentals will not be refunded.

BOOKING CHANGES/ AMENDMENTS:

If you would like to make any amendments to your confirmed booking, you need to inform us in writing of such requests.

Ansteys is not obliged to grant these changes. Extended/amended dates will be subject to availability. Only one amendment for travel dates may be made, within reason. Where a request is made for a shorter stay than originally booked, a reasonable cancellation fee may be charged. If your booking is moved to a date with a higher rate, you will have to pay the difference. If your booking is moved to a date with a lower rate, there will be no refund or credit.

BREAKAGE, DISTURBANCE & KEY DEPOSIT (B&D)

(REFUNDABLE): An additional refundable Breakage and Disturbance Deposit is payable in cash on arrival. From R200pp for Backpackers dorm rooms, R200pp for twins, doubles and single rooms, R400 for private twins and doubles, R500 for 2 sleeper apartments, R800/R1000 for 4/6 sleeper apartments. This deposit will be refunded via EFT within 3-5 days of departure provided all our T&C’s have been met, keys, towels, etc. have been returned to reception. (Should any damages exceed the deposit paid, additional amounts will be paid by the guest.)

CHECK IN AND OUT:

Check in time 14h00 – 21h00. We will not be held responsible for arrivals after 22h00 (or after closing hours) if no prior arrangements had been made with reception. Check out time strictly 09h00 (failure to check out after 9am will result in an extra night’s charge). ID/Passport required when checking in keys will not be handed over without proper identification.

NOISE, DISTURBANCE & GENERAL BEHAVIOUR:

No loud music or noise after 10.00 pm. Noise before 10pm to be kept at an acceptable level no loud speakers in communal spaces. We are a residential establishment in a quiet, peaceful area and NOT a party venue. We ask that our guests are respectful of our other guests & neighbours. We expect all guests to stick to the general rules of behaviour and appearance based on common sense and basic etiquette. Please be considerate when using the communal facilities as there are guests staying in the rooms close by. Please notify us if other guests are not adhering to these policies.

SMOKING:

Ansteys has a strict NO SMOKING policy in ALL flats, cabins, rooms, & communal living areas. No

smoking in any covered spaces. Smoking is only allowed in designated smoking areas. Please do not discard cigarette butts in pot plants and in the garden

use the ashtrays provided.

INDEMNITY, LIABILITY & RIGHT OF ADMISSION

RESERVED:

All guests are to sign indemnity on arrival. While every reasonable precaution is taken to ensure your enjoyment, comfort & safety whilst visiting Ansteys, you acknowledge and agree that there may be risks associated with your stay, and this will be at your own risk. (Please see indemnity form for more info). Right of admission reserved.

PETS:

Please note that our establishment is NOT pet- friendly, & no pets will be allowed on the property.

ALCOHOL:

No alcohol is to be brought on or removed from these premises as there is a licensed bar on site. No alcohol to be sold before 10am. We reserve the right to refuse to sell alcohol to anyone over the limit, drinking excessively, or causing disturbances.

PARKING:

Strictly for guests only. Parking spaces are limited 1 parking bay is allocated per unit (dependent on availability). Most parkings are outside our reception area & monitored with CCTV. Please bear with us during busy times and ensure that you complete the parking info on the indemnity form at reception and park properly between the lines without obstructing the roadway and driveway. Failure to comply with parking rules can result in additional fees.

OCCUPANCY/VISITORS:

Strictly for paying guests only, no visitors allowed on premises. No persons other than those quoted for, are permitted to share the accommodation. The no. of people is restricted to the number of beds per unit. Should you not fully occupy your unit, it does not entitle you to invite your own guests to fill the compliment. (If management suspects that the above rule is being transgressed, they reserve the right to carry an inspection of the unit anytime during the day or night, with possible eviction)

CLEANING / SERVICING OF UNITS:

Self Catering Units will be partly serviced daily (except for Sundays & Public Holidays). Servicing does not include washing of dishes. Servicing includes making of beds, emptying of bins & sweeping. Please ensure that the dishes are washed and packed away when checking out. If not, a minimum fee of R50 will be deducted from your Breakage deposit.

LAUNDRY SERVICE:

There is a daily drop off and pick up laundry service at reasonable rates. Please enquire at Reception for further information. Please read T&C’s on laundry vouchers.

ISSUES/COMPLAINTS:

Despite all the care taken by us to ensure a happy stay, please notify us immediately should you have any issues or complaints during your stay. This is to allow us to try solve the matter as soon as possible.

LOST PROPERTY:

Lost property will be kept for 30 days then will be disposed of.

SUPPLIES:

We supply toilet paper, dishwashing liquid & hand soap, but we do not supply any toiletries, coffee, tea, sugar, etc. as our units are fully self- catering. Some of these items can be purchased at Reception, or visit Heidi’s Café (On Site) for breakfast. Towels: bath towels are provided in our apartments

only (Not supplied for Cabins/Backpackers rooms). Please bring your own towels. Bath/Beach towels may be hired from reception for a small fee.

MONKEYS:

Please do not feed the monkeys! Ensure that all doors and windows are closed when you go out so that the monkeys cannot access your apartment/room.

TV & WIFI :

We have a limited DSTV Hotel Package available in our apartments & communal TV lounge. Free WIFI available around the property.

WATER & ELECTRICITY:

Please be conscious of saving water & electricity where possible and do not use these excessively. Please ensure that the TV, lights, fans and air conditioners (where applicable) are turned off and that all taps are closed properly when you leave your room. Aircons left on for extended periods while guests are not occupying the room may be turned off by our staff. Loadshedding/Water Outages: While we will do our best to supply temporary lighting, water, etc. in these situations, we cannot guarantee the availability of water/electricity in the event of unexpected power or water outages or scheduled load shedding. Please note that while most of our tap water is drinkable, some of our taps are fed with JoJo tanks and are not suitable for drinking.

SWIMMING POOL:

Pool gate is to be closed at ALL times. The pool area is open from 9am-9:30pm*. The use of the swimming pool is entirely at your own risk. Children under the age of 12 years and non- swimmers are to be supervised by adults at all times. (strictly no swimming between 10pm and 6am).

Important : please rinse off all sand at the beach showers and at the pool entrance before entering the pool. No glass, surfboards and bomb diving in the pool. No excessive splashing & noise, please be considerate to other guests, and of water shortages.

COMMUNAL AREAS AND FACILITIES:

Please kindly clean up after yourselves and ensure that you wash, dry and pack away all dishes that you have used.

Please don’t litter use the bins provided. Please be considerate to share usage time with other guests when using the communal TV, Pool table, etc.

COVID19, FORCE MAJEURE & OTHER: Please note that we will follow government regulations regarding Covid19 (& other diseases), lockdowns, riots, etc.

Please ensure that you follow all necessary protocols in place. Ansteys cannot be held responsible for not fulfilling its obligations due to unforeseen circumstances.

Should you not abide by our Terms and Conditions your Breakage and Disturbance deposit (B&D) will be forfeited. If the noise and disturbance persists despite warnings from management, we will have no choice but to evict you out of respect and consideration to our other guests and neighbours.

TV CHANNELS: DSTV Hotel Package

TV, LIGHTS, WATER: We are currently experiencing a severe drought and electricity shortage. Please be conscious of saving water where possible and do not shower for extended times. Ensure that the TV, lights, fans and air conditioners (where applicable) in your flat are turned off and that all taps are closed properly when you leave your flat. Please check your outside lights as well.
